The River Ousburn is a tributary that feeds into the River Tyne on the Newcastle side of the river.
The Ouseburn in times past was a thriving place of industry with a lot of waterside factorys and other types of business one of which was the Maynards Chocolate factory.
The Ousburn is co0ming back to life as a waterside attraction after a lot of clean up work and it is well worth a visit for the pleasant walks that can be done there.
